Villalobos Brothers

by Terraza 7 on September 21, 2012

Masterfully blending the indigenous rhythms and melodies of their native Veracruz, Mexico, with the intricate harmonies of jazz and classical music, the three Villalobos Brothers deliver an intoxicating brew of musical brilliance, cadence and virtuosity that awakens the senses as it redefines the notions behind Latin music.

Their signature style of fiddling, called fast-chatting violin, has taken them to perform at Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium, the United Nations 60th Anniversary Gala, the New York Mets’ Shea Stadium, the Latin Grammy’s, Rockefeller Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Broadway’s New Victory Theater, where their music was described as “High Octane Mexican Fiddling”.
