Bassist Ricardo RodrĂguez from Ponce, Puerto Rico began formally studying music in 1993 in School of Music Juan Morel Campos in Ponce where he intensely studied jazz. In 1997 he graduated with honors from Juan Morel Campos School of Music in Ponce and during that same year he began his studies at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico.
Ricardo has performed with some of the giants in Latin Jazz today including Ray Barretto,  Endel Dueño, Giovanni Hidalgo , Jerry González, Chuchito Valdez, Tony Lujan, Erik Figueroa’s trio, Ricardo Pons and Causa Común, Mandy Visoso and his orchestra, and a couple of memorable performances with masters such as;  Branford Marsalis, Danilo Pérez, David Sánchez, and Ignacio Berroa among many, many others. In addition, Ricardo has performed for famous international jazz festivals in the United States, South America, Europe and Asia. Currently, Ricardo is playing with Joe Locke and Force of Four , Ignacio Berroa Quartet and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra .
